Piano Recording Studio | C. Bechstein Grand Piano | Toronto

Containing a C. Bechstein Concert Grand Piano, and designed to enhance the natural harmonics of acoustic instruments, the piano room is the centerpiece of Number Nine’s recording facilities.

Bechstein pianos have been used by many great classical artists such as Debussy, Wagner, Rachmaninoff, Liszt and Bernstein as well as jazz legends the likes of Dave Brubeck, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Chick Corea.

Pop artists such as The Beatles, Queen, Elton John, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Joni Mitchell, Elvis Costello, and Gwen Stefani, just to mention a few, have all used Bechsteins in their recordings over the years.  Ever hear of the song “Hey Jude”?  That legendary pop ballad was recorded on – you guessed it – a Bechstein grand piano.

Any pianist or music afficionado will be awed by this incredible piece of German craftsmanship. Our sound proof, acoustically designed piano room is specifically tuned for this magnificient piano, optimizing its sound for recordings and performance. There is nothing quite like it anywhere in Toronto, so come on down to our recording studio and take a look at it yourself!
