CD & DVD Templates | DVD and CD Duplication Toronto
| Preparing graphic materials can be a painstaking ordeal, even for those of us who love to do it. The smallest details in regards to colour spaces, file formats, page layouts, etc., can have major consequences in the final production. Incorrectly prepared graphics lead to extra charges and time delays, so it’s a good idea to get your artwork started off on the right track. Should you not be up to the task, check out our graphic design service.

| To help you with digital print file preparation, we supply templates in various formats. Right-click and choose “Save as” to download the appropriate templates for your project.
Insert Printing: CD / DVD Printing: Image ResolutionImage resolution determines the overall quality of the printed images and text. Sometimes what may look great on the screen looks “computerized” or blurry when printed. High-resolution files will print a high quality image, while low-resolution files result in a pixellated image. We strongly recommend files to be set to at least 300 DPI for optimum print quality. This must be set at the very beginning of creating your file – a high-resolution image can be downsized, but a low-resolution image can’t be enhanced.Colour SpaceThere will always be slight variations between colours as they appear on the screen and how they print. To minimize the discrepency, it is important to be aware of the colour space of your files. For most intents and purposes, graphic files should be set to CMYK for colour printing and greyscale for black and white printing. If using special inks, such as Pantone PMS, additional preparation may be necessary (this is especially true for CD and DVD printing).File Formats We accept file submissions in standard professional image formats – Photoshop (.psd), Illustrator (.ai), InDesign (.indd), PDF (.pdf), TIFF (.tif). Be sure to include all necessary linked images and outline all fonts. You can flatten your artwork, but make sure that you keep the template layer on its own and put any artwork on a separate layer or layers; leave the template layer on its own regardless. We also strongly recommend you submit a hard-copy printed proof of all digital files. Make sure you have a backup – Number 9 is not responsible for damaged or corrupted material. Please do not submit Word documents or files made with CD label-making software. |
